Ballymore Properties Hurdle
- Trends
Age
- Five and six year olds have dominated around 80% of the places over
the last 30 years and this is one of our golden races stats wise given
that it is open to all ages and is a stat that holds up on any
going.
Recent Form and Experience
- Side with a horse with a win on its last run and although your
looking for some solid hurdling form the tendency is the winner to come
into the race lightly raced since Christmas ideally having just one
outing around 4-6 weeks before the festival.
Market Position
- A good race for the favourites over the years and providing the
trends fit a solid win bet on the favourite is recommended, if the
favourite doesn't tick the boxes only consider the next two in the
betting as alternatives else leave the race alone from a serious betting
point of view.
Trainers
- Nigel Twiston-Davies has an excellent record over the past 15 years
along with any Irish trained horse.
Other Positives
- Although considered by many to favour ex flat racehorses the more
positive trend is for a national hunt bred horse to fill the frame.
PERFECTION: Go for an Twiston-Davies
or Irish trained 5 or 6 years old that won last time out and is lightly
raced this season, only look at the first three in the betting, a solid
win bet if all criteria is met.
