order) place higher dividend than bookmakers on average 2 out of every 3
bets, so if you feel you've got a race worked out stick to the Tote and
increase your profits the majority of the time.
Pool Betting (Jackpot)
- An almost impossible task to simply select all six winners at any
meeting let alone a Festival day, but the tote Jackpot bet allows you to
easily perm your bets ie picking 2 horses in each race results in a x64
stake bet (2x2x2x2x2x2). The Jackpot is one bet where we would advise
patience as roll overs increase the % payout so the waiting game gives
you the best possible return for outlay, though if you cannot wait for a
possible roll over adopt an increased staking plan so if the jackpot
hits day four without a winner you'll have your maximum bet going
against maximum payouts.
Pool Betting (Placepot and Quadpot)
- The placepot is paid for selecting a "win or placed" horse in each
of the days 6 races, much easier than the jackpot but with large fields
it normally pays a very healthy dividend, usually much better than a
place accumulator and is well worth a small stakes perm everyday, the
Quadpot is the same place bet but on the last four races, so if your
placepot bet goes up in smoke after the 1st two races you can try your
luckon the last four.
